1. Leads From 2.0 Do NOT Automatically Move to 3.0
If you have an existing lead in Leads 2.0 that you want to continue working in Sales 3.0, you must manually add that lead.
Existing 2.0 leads will NOT automatically transfer into Sales 3.0.
Go to:
Sales → Add Quote → Complete the TCS Lead Form
Enter the customer information, complete the required fields, opt them in when appropriate, and submit.
Once submitted, the lead will appear in Sales 3.0.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Only manually re-enter an old lead if you actually want that customer moved into the new Sales 3.0 process and automation sequence.
2. WATCH FOR DUPLICATE CUSTOMERS
When you manually enter an existing 2.0 lead into Sales 3.0, TCS may consider the entry new customer data.
That means you need to be careful about creating duplicates.
One option is to rename or identify the old 2.0 record before re-entering the customer.
For example:
Website Test → Website Test 2.0
This makes it easier to identify which record belongs to the old system.
🚨 DUPLICATE WARNING: Before manually adding an existing lead to Sales 3.0, check the customer's current record and clearly identify the old 2.0 version.
3. Decide Whether Old Leads Actually Need 3.0
You do NOT need to manually transfer every old lead.
For each lead still sitting in Leads 2.0, decide:
- Can I simply finish working this lead manually in 2.0?
- Is this lead Won?
- Is this lead Lost?
- Do I want this customer to enter the new Sales 3.0 follow-up sequence?
If you want the customer to receive the new automated follow-ups, manually enter them into Sales 3.0.
💡 NOTE: The goal is to gradually phase out Leads 2.0, not recreate every old lead unnecessarily.
4. DO NOT Drag Cards Between Days in Sales 3.0
This is a major change from the old workflow.
🚨 YOU CANNOT MOVE A LEAD FORWARD BY DRAGGING THE CARD.
Sales 3.0 moves opportunities through the pipeline based on their Activities.
For example, if a lead is currently on Day 2:
Open Lead → Activities → Find Day 2 Follow-Up → Mark Completed
The system will then automatically move the opportunity from Day 2 → Day 3.
⚠️ PAY EXTRA ATTENTION: Marking the activity Completed tells Sales 3.0 that you are ready for that customer to continue through the follow-up process.
5. Use Activities to Control Your Follow-Ups
You can also go to View Activities to see what needs your attention.
Filter for Pending activities to see outstanding tasks such as:
- Day 1 Follow-Up
- Day 3 Follow-Up
- Day 7 Follow-Up
- Customer calls
- Follow-up emails
- Other sales activities
Complete the appropriate activity when the follow-up has been handled and you want the opportunity to move forward.
Once completed, the lead advances to the next pipeline stage and the next scheduled automation can follow.
⭐ REMEMBER
OLD 2.0 LEAD → Manually add to 3.0 ONLY if needed.
WATCH FOR DUPLICATES → TCS may treat the manually entered lead as new data.
DO NOT DRAG CARDS → Sales 3.0 does not advance leads that way.
ACTIVITY COMPLETED → Lead moves to the next stage.
MOVING FORWARD → Allows the next automated follow-up to occur.
🚨 The big rule: In Sales 3.0, Activities control the movement of your leads and their follow-up sequence.
