Follow these steps to record PTO for a cleaner or technician.
Step 1: Go to Time Off Events
From the main menu, navigate to Time Off Events.
Click New Time Off Event.
Step 2: Select Employee and Date
Choose the Cleaner/Technician receiving PTO.
Select the Date of the paid time off.
Example: If the technician called in sick today, select today’s date.
Step 3: Choose PTO Type and Details
Under Type, select PTO.
In the Description/Note, enter the reason (e.g., “Called in sick, using PTO”).
Under Adjustment Type, choose PTO — this ensures it shows correctly in payroll reports.
Step 4: Enter Pay and Hours
Enter the Payout Amount (e.g.,
$100 per day).Add any Hours associated with the PTO (e.g.,
8 hours).
Step 5: Save the Time Off Event
Click Save.
The PTO will now appear under the employee’s time off list.
Open the record to review details such as date, amount, and reason.
Notes
The PTO entry will automatically reflect in payroll reporting.
Adjust the amount or hours as needed if your company uses a variable pay rate.
Always double-check that the PTO type and adjustment are set correctly to ensure accurate payroll tracking.
