How to Set up Payment Methods in Stripe

To properly connect Stripe to the cleaning software, you must enable only the supported payment methods in Stripe. Disable unsupported options so customers only see approved payment types.

1. Go to Payment Method Settings in Stripe

• Log into Stripe

• Click Settings

• Select Payments

• Click Payment Methods

• Open the default payment method configuration

2. Disable unsupported payment methods

• Click into the payment method

• Select Disable

• Confirm your selection

You should disable:

• Link

• Klarna

• Afterpay

• Affirm

• Cash App

These do not properly connect with the cleaning software.

3. Keep approved payment methods enabled
Make sure the following are enabled:

• Cards

• Apple Pay

• Google Pay

Optional if your company accepts them:

• ACH Direct Debit

• Bank Transfer

4. Save and confirm settings

• Review your enabled payment methods

• Confirm unsupported options are turned off

Proper setup ensures:

• Customer card information saves correctly

• Payments connect directly to the cleaning software

• Fewer billing and syncing errors
