Stripe can automatically email customers when you issue a refund. This ensures customers are notified and helps prevent confusion.
1. Go to Stripe email settings
Log into Stripe
Click Settings
Select Business → Customer Emails
2. Enable refund notifications
Turn on Refunds
Click Save to confirm
3. Issue a refund
Navigate to the customer’s Payment or Invoice
Click Refund
Choose full or partial refund
Select a reason (e.g., requested by customer, double charge, fraud)
Confirm the refund
4. Confirm customer receives email
Customers will receive an email with refund details
Reply emails go to your Support Email
