When a customer submits their card through your GHL card capture form, the card is stored in Stripe. To use it in TCS, copy the Stripe Customer ID and Payment Method ID into the customer profile and upcoming job, then enable auto-charge.
Step 1. Locate the customer in GHL and Stripe
- Open your GHL account
- Go to Payments
- Find the customer who submitted the card capture form
- Open the order details and locate the customer's email address
- Open Stripe and search for that email address
- Verify the customer and card are on file
Step 2. Add the Stripe Customer ID to TCS
- Copy the Customer ID from Stripe
- Open the customer profile in TCS
- Click Edit
- Paste the Stripe Customer ID into the Stripe ID field
- Click Save
Step 3. Link the payment method to the upcoming job
- Open the customer's upcoming job or recurring subscription
- Locate the card on file in Stripe
- Verify the last four digits of the card
- Copy the Payment Method ID from Stripe
- Paste the Payment Method ID into the payment method field in TCS
- Save the job
Step 4. Enable auto-charge
- Confirm the payment method is selected on the job
- Make sure Disable Auto-Charge is not checked
- Save the job or subscription
All future visits will now automatically charge the saved card.
Step 5. Verify everything is connected
- Confirm the Stripe ID is saved on the customer profile
- Confirm the payment method is linked to the upcoming job
- Confirm auto-charge is enabled
- Verify the correct card appears in TCS
Notes
- The GHL card capture form stores the card in Stripe without charging the customer.
- The customer must exist in both Stripe and TCS for the connection to work.
- Always verify the last four digits of the card before linking it.
- Enabling auto-charge ensures future recurring visits are billed automatically.
- No phone call is required to collect payment information once the card capture form has been completed.
