How to mark and assign users as Trainers
Label the User in their Profile
Open the User File for the person.
In roles/labels, set one of the following as needed:
Trainer
Trainee
(Leave as regular cleaner if neither applies)
Save.
Note: This label is for quick reference/visibility in views; it does not by itself activate training pay.
Activate Training Status for Today
Go to Route Management (you can also do this on the Schedule Board).
Select the user (e.g., Ashley).
Use the Training control:
Set as Trainer (Today) to mark them actively training.
Set as Trainee (Today) if they’re being trained.
(Optional) Pair the trainer with the trainee for today’s route.
Verify the Activation
In Route Management/Schedule Board, you’ll see the Training status applied for today (distinct from the static label in the user file).
End or Change Training Status
When they’re not training, toggle Training → Off for that user.
You can re-activate on any future day as needed.
Payroll Reminder
Training stipend/pay applies only when the user is activated as Training for that day.
Simply labeling someone as Trainer/Trainee in the user file does not trigger training pay.
Tips
The User File label = quick identification (who can train / who is trainee-capable).
The Daily activation (Route Management or Schedule Board) = what actually controls today’s status and stipend.
