Overview of the most effective way to schedule trainees on the route.
Label the User as Trainee
Open the User File of the cleaner.
Select Trainee and save.
This is for reference so you can easily identify trainees in your system.
Activate Trainee Status for the Day
Go to Route Management or Schedule Board.
Find the trainee (e.g., Ashley) and activate their status for the day.
Choose Trainee Type
| Trainee Watching | Trainee Working |

| For brand-new trainees. | For trainees nearing completion of training (optional) |
| Trainee gets full pay for the job. | Pay is split as if they were working with a team. |
| Job time is not reduced; they get paid hourly and Trainers full scheduled JTH time | Job time is reduced proportionally (e.g., 3-hour job becomes 1.5 hours). |
Verify Activation
Ensure the trainee is activated for the correct type today.
Activation can be done from either Route Management or Schedule Board.
Payroll Reminder
Trainee pay and stipend are only automated when the trainee is activated for the day.
Simply labeling someone as a trainee does not trigger payroll changes.
Notes & Tips
Labeling = quick identification.
Activation = controls daily status, payroll, and job timing.
Choose Trainee Watching for full pay, Trainee Working for split/team pay.
