How to Add and Edit User Availability (JTH)
This describes how to add and edit employee availability in TCS so schedulers can set each employee’s working days, start/end times, and daily Job Ticket Hour (JTH) goal. Use this when onboarding new employees or when availability changes (vacation, part-time, schedule updates).
Step-by-Step Procedure
Open Users
Go to Users (or Users / Employees) in TCS.
Select Employee
Click on the employee you want to edit.
Enable Availability
If availability is disabled by default, turn availability ON for that employee.
Set Daily Start / End Times
For each workday, enter the start time (time of first job) and end time (last job end).
Example: Start = 8:00 AM, End = 5:00 PM.
Set Scheduled Service Time / JTH
Enter the employee’s scheduled service time (job ticket hour or JTH) for each applicable day.
If the employee is full-time and the same every day, copy the same JTH across those days.
Example: JTH = 7.5 for Mon–Fri.
Turn Off Non-Working Days
Leave days the employee does not work turned off (e.g., Sat/Sun or specific weekday).
Set Daily Goal (if applicable)
Make sure the daily minimum JTH goal is set (e.g., 7.5 JTH per day). This is the target you try to schedule each day; you may still schedule above it.
Save Changes
Click Save to apply availability settings for that employee.
Repeat for All Users
Return to the Users list and repeat steps 2–8 for every employee (confirm all active users have availability enabled).
Example (from transcript)
Employee A: Mon–Thu = Start 8:00 AM, End 5:00 PM, JTH = 7.5; Fri = Off; Sat/Sun = Off.
Employee B (Shelly): Turn availability on, set Monday–Friday start/end and JTH, then Save.
Troubleshooting & Notes
JTH is a minimum scheduling target; schedulers may place more hours if available.
Use the start time to indicate when the employee must be at their first job.
If schedules differ day-to-day (part-time), set each day individually rather than copying across.
