After creating a short-term rental service type, you will create a yearly subscription job with custom pricing and detailed notes. This allows you to easily schedule future cleanings as standalone jobs while automatically copying notes for your technicians.
1. Create the Short-Term Rental Job
Open the customer profile for the short-term rental owner.
Confirm the property address.
Click Create Job.
Select the Short-Term Rental service type.
This service type does not have a preset price.
Enter a custom price (example: $345).
Add optional add-ons if applicable:
Laundry
Extras
Set the estimated job time (example: 6 hours).
Choose the subscription start date (example: December 31).
This will be a yearly subscription.
2. Assign Time Slot & Billing
If your company uses one, select a dedicated short-term rental time slot.
This keeps all STR jobs grouped together.
Set billing to invoice after each clean.
3. Add Notes & Cleaning Instructions
Add clear, repeatable details such as:
Access Information
Door code
Supply closet code
Cleaning Notes
Clean dryer lint after laundry
Sweep off deck
Check and empty dishwasher
Customer Preferences
Ensure all doors are locked before leaving
Additional Reminders
Confirm cleaning with the client the morning of service
4. Save the Job
Review all job details.
Click Save and Continue.
This job now becomes the master setup for how this property is always cleaned.
5. Schedule Future Cleanings (Standalone Jobs)
Go to the subscription.
Navigate to the month you want to schedule (example: January).
Use Options → Create Standalone Job.
Select the service date (example: January 6).
Repeat for any future dates (example: January 15).
✅ All notes and instructions will automatically copy to each standalone job.
6. Adjust or Move Scheduled Cleanings
If a client needs to change a date:
Click Unschedule to remove it from the calendar.
Create a new standalone job for the new date (example: move January 15 to January 16).
The job will retain all notes and instructions.
7. Assign Technicians
Standalone jobs are created unassigned by default.
Open the map or schedule view.
Assign the job to the available technician for that date.
Notes
Short-term rentals should always have a yearly subscription attached.
Notes only copy when jobs are created from a subscription with a frequency.
One-time jobs do not duplicate notes.
Using a subscription allows you to:
Plan months in advance
Move jobs easily
Ensure consistent cleaning instructions for every visit
