This SOP provides instructions for applying a one-time discount or setting up a recurring discount on a customer's cleaning job in The Cleaning Software.
Apply a One-Time Discount
- Locate the Customer's Job:
- Go to the Schedule Board and select the customer’s upcoming job (e.g., Forrest Gump’s routine cleaning on 10-3).
- Enter Discount Details:
- Open Job Details and locate the discount field.
- Enter the discount amount (e.g., $20) and specify One-Time as the discount type.
- Add a reason for the discount in the notes field (e.g., “Customer referral”).
- Save the One-Time Discount:
- Select Save Only This Cleaning to ensure the discount applies solely to this job.
2. Apply a Recurring Discount
- Locate the Customer's Subscription:
- Go to Subscriptions and select the customer’s routine service.
- Enter Discount Details:
- In the discount field, enter the discount amount (e.g., $5) to be applied to all future cleanings.
- Uncheck One-Time to apply the discount as a recurring feature.
- Add a reason (e.g., “Loyalty discount”).
- Save for All Future Cleanings:
- Select Save and Update All to apply the discount to each scheduled cleaning in the customer’s subscription.
Key Points:
- One-Time Discount: Use for single occurrences, such as customer referrals or promotions.
- Recurring Discount: Apply when the discount should be permanent, such as loyalty rewards or long-term agreements.
- Confirmation: Always confirm that the discount displays correctly on the customer’s job details or subscription for accuracy.
